Zénith

What if we were always spacing out

2015

Zenith is a participative work that converts our geolocation into a sensorial, esthetic experience.

Based on an individual who is geolocated for one week, the skies that he or she passes under are mapped. An image bank from Google Street View creates a mosaic of several thousand images, all of which share a common axis of the camera at the zenith. At a rhythm of one image per minute, one line per hour, an image forms as a mirror of ourselves.

This experience allows us to see our own physical activity through a spectrum of colors. As a participative work, Zenith invites willing participants to create their own portrait. In exchange for your geolocation data, you will receive your own Zenith.
