Street Views Patchwork

What if the photograph of a landscape could evolve over time, transform little by little

2009

An online work (working progress) to see here

Street Views Patchwork is an Internet work visible in real time on the Internet. It consists of 12 pages which follow one after the other presenting digital collages (tables). Composed of different fragments of landscapes from the Street View service of Google Maps, these photos are samples of a borderless world.

Constructed in real time, the work presents shifting, ephemeral landscapes prey to the updating of data. Composed in the manner of a surreal collage, these patchworks form before our eyes a series of landscapes impossible for geography and plural times.
