Revolution

The world is all wound up

2009

The perpetual movement of our little planet in the space of the Palais de Tokyo

Revolution is a small Earth globe that wanders around a given space. This autonomous mobile object traces revolutions and anarchic trajectories within the exhibition space.

By solliciting the attention of each viewer that it encounters, this diminutive mobile is like a hybrid between a toy and a functional object. The little sculpture made up of low-tech elements articulates a dialogue between modernity and alterity, between archaism and everyday technology. Viewers can witness with childlike wonder how the Earth never stops turning.
